Last week of summer
This is my last week of summer. This summer has absolutely flown by at mach speed. With all of the traveling and programming going on, it will definitely be a summer we will never forget.
I got an extension on my Create PT for my CSP class. The due date is July 31st but I asked to have until August 7th. I worked on my program for a couple of hours this morning (until Si came into the den and yelled, "PUTER!!!" and climbed into my lap. 😂😂😂
I think i have the actual program finished. I still have to put comments throughout the code to explain what is going on in the program. I also have to write a paper about it and make a video of the program running with commentary.
Oh, and I have to get Janie's uniform clothes for school. New school = New uniform = girl's shopping day at the Eastern Shore Centre :-)

Showa
We've been at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear since Sunday afternoon. It's been a good trip so far. Tomorrow we're meeting up with some friends for supper and Wednesday Jason's cousin Ashley and her kids are coming down.
Tonight when Jason and Si were taking a shower, the showerhead flew off and knocked Si in the forehead. He screamed for what seemed like an eternity. There's a bruise where it him him, but he is going to be fine.
It's really late. I've got so much to do... And Jami should have her new baby by Friday.
It's an exciting time!!

Unbroken
We're sitting all together in the living room (not a normal occurrence as of late since we presently have a tween amongst us) watching the movie Unbroken.
We hear so much about the horrible concentration camps in Germany that were led by the Nazis, but I honestly don't remember ever learning as much about how the Japanese treated our POWs.
This movie could cause any proud American to absolutely hate and despise the Japanese people. I am in awe of the horrific treatment our POWs had to endure.
And I am eternally grateful for the freedoms (however they may be dwindling) our military has fought to provide us.
Happy Independence Day, everyone.
