The Mildred Starnes Nursing Scholarship is available for those students who have been accepted to USA, have a 3.0 GPA, have made a 19 on the ACT. The deadline is February 1st. Jackie Robinson Scholarship will close Feb 14th for minority students with financial need, 21 ACT, leadership and community service. The amount is $4000 per year. Seniors, applications for Clarke Washington Electric and the Woman’s Club are in the counselor’s office. The deadline for Woman’s Club is February 15th and the deadline for Clarke Washington is February 16th. Also, Ms. Stabler has information on the College Counts Scholarship for any graduating senior who has at least a 2.75 GPA and less than a 26 on the ACT. The amount is $2000-4000 and the deadline is March 1st. Any senior with at least a 3.0 GPA and is considering education as a major in college should see Ms. Stabler about applying for the Mathews Scholarship. The deadline is March 15th. The deadline for the Alabama Home Builders Association is March 15th for seniors pursuing a degree or certificate in architect, electrical or civil engineering, plumbing, electrician, drafting, masonry, or any building related occupation. See Ms. Stabler for more details. The scholarship application for Coastal Alabama Community College is February 15th. This must be completed online but you will need a student ID number to complete it. All seniors were given assistance in applying to CACC during College Application Week and should have an assigned number from CACC by now.
