The BS looks at life pretty simply: God made us all just like we are, and we should all have the same basic human rights. Thinking differently about that issue has a long history of getting our beloved region into bad trouble. That’s why, though we rarely are this overt on political issues, we urge Bitter Southerner family members in Georgia to call their state representatives and express their opposition to House Bill 757. The bill essentially allows for state-sanctioned discrimination against people based on who they are and who they love. That, Bitter Southerners, is wrong.
