Sweet Silly Si

Crossed

I realized something yesterday while we were at the movie theater watching Furious 7…

I can now sit with my legs crossed.

This may not seem like a big deal (or even a strange event to celebrate) but for any overweight woman out there, you know exactly how I feel.

I am still amazed by how comfortable it is…

So far I have lost 48 pounds.

I can’t wait to lose 48 more!!

And as an added bonus for this entry... Here's a VERY BAD hair day... bless his heart, I had just woke him up...

 

Si's first sentence

I am completely out of it! Can barely type... Auto correct has helped me out a bit lol (this maybe the only time I say something positively about Auto Correct)

Back on doxycycline again. Fighting another sinus infection.

Oh! Si said his first sentence earlier this week! He pointed at the door when we were in Sunflower waiting for Mr. Gene. As soon as the door opened Si exclaimed, "there he is!"

1300 miles

Day 5: miles 1300 - Bristol, Virginia or Tennessee... Not sure... I am so ready to be back home. Or at least in Alabama. Si has been unbelievably good on this trip. He has a cough that is sounding worse every day though. Pretty sure the day we spent in Louisville out in the cold rain didn't help much. Janie has been an awesome help with Si. I hope she doesn't start to resent helping with him... Jason has needed a couple of attitude adjustments, but overall this has been a really good trip. Our original plans of being gone for 4 days has turned into 6, which means I am already stressing about school on Monday. But it will all work out and be fine ☺

Got to Knoxville later than I wanted to. Unpacked our bags in our 2 adjoining rooms (score for Janie-no couch sleeping tonight!) Jason decided we should go to Texas Roadhouse for supper. We walked in the door at 9:56. By 10:48 we still had no food. Then Jason started feeling sick. Not sniffles/cold sick. Like vertigo/can't see straight/gonna throw up sick. And he did. Throw up I mean. I shoved one of the buckets they serve peanuts in under his face and he filled it up. I almost couldn't stand beside him when he was puking because I was worried I might puke too. Janie scooped Si up and took him to another table away from us. (Yet more proof of how awesome she is). We didn't leave the restaurant until 11:30 because it took forever to get Jason to the truck. Oh and I got to drive the truck for the first time tonight. Not the ideal circumstance... I drove way too slow and almost hit one little white car. That's when the tears started. I was just overwhelmed. Finally got to the hotel and got Jason all the way back up to our room. Janie stayed with Si in the truck because I had to go back out to park the truck anyway. (The truck is now sitting in the far corner of the parking lot all by itself) she had him wrapped in a blanket laying in her lap. She is not perfect but she is as close as she can be sometimes... ❤

Toinette

Chris came to get Janie around 11 this morning. They usually spend at least one day together every weekend :)

Jason, Si and I went to Sunflower. We got Mrs Susanne and Mr Gene to go out to Toinette and do some treasure hunting with us. I found a bunch of broken glass and a few bottles. I asked Allison if she wanted any of the glass (because what in the world was I going to with a box full of broken glass?) And she said definitely yes.

The colors of the glass are green, seafoam green, brown, white, blue, clear,  and a few pieces had designs painted in them. Very, very pretty :)

Si walked all over the place! Which meant he has been in an ill mood ever since we got home. We hiked around in the woods for over 3 hours. I definitely got my exercise!

Happy Valentine's Day to ME!!

This morning after Si had been awake for about 30 minutes, he was sitting in my lap. I hugged him tight and said, "I love you."

I swear he replied,  "I love you too. "

plop

So I was giving Si a bath. A bubble bath. and he went from sitting down in the tub to squatting. I didn't really think anything of it...

Until his facial expression changed. To that look babies have when they're pooping.

Just as soon as I realized what he was doing I picked him up out of the tub.

And then I heard

PLOP

PLOP

I had already started letting the water drain. It drained for about 15 seconds then it stopped.

One of the plops had clogged the drain.

It has been a very interesting evening...

Yuck

Si just puked all over me.

Twice.

And I had just finished giving him a bath no more than 15 minutes earlier. 

Time for bath #2!!

I'm not sure if he's really sick. He seems to feel great. Same smiling face and silly demeanor as always. 

The worst smell in the world has to be vomit...

YUCK!

Gone to camp

She's gone to camp. And I hope she is having an awesome time. I loved going to camp when I was young. She can't go swimming (and I'm sure you can figure out why) but there are plenty of other things she can do.

I'm holding Si right now and he's sleeping.

Si and I have been up for over an hour... I've tried to lay him back down once and he was back wide awake within minutes of me walking out of his room.

I miss sleep...
